So many of us are fucked up around money because we’ve been taught and programmed to believe nonsense bullshiz that isn’t actually true.
Then we don’t talk about it because talking about it makes us “bad” and “not PC.” So we go about our lives not feeling good about money.
And that just bugs me to no end.
That’s why I’m so open with my money journey. Because I want you to see that you’re not alone.
I’ve experienced some seriously shitty money lows.
I’ve overdrafted bank accounts and then had them closed on me because I couldn’t pay it back within the allotted time period. I’ve had my car repoed because I couldn’t afford to pay the monthly payment for two months in a row.
I’ve purchased things with credit cards, fully intending to pay for them, and then got overwhelmed and didn’t have the money for it.
I’ve also experienced a lot of money highs.
I paid off several debts that were hanging over me for years. I’ve made more than $10,000 cash in one month. I’ve created a real income from writing and publishing books.
There were ups and there were downs.
And all along the way, I’ve believed one thing: it would eventually be up and up only.
That I would eventually figure out what I needed to do to feel good about money, and to act in ways that aligned with being the version of me I wanted to be with regard to money.
Now I have.
These days, money isn’t a scary subject. I can talk about it openly without feeling the shame and guilt I used to feel.
I’ve made peace with my money past. I continue to rectify it a little at a time as I go along. And I’ve gotten better and better at manifesting, holding onto, and feeling good about money.
My journey continues on. There’s always more to do, and learn, and become.
But just know that if you’ve struggled or are struggling to get your money shit together—you’re not alone in this. And it is possible for you to change everything.
