When I was in my early 20s, I fell in love. Or, at least, I thought I did.

I met this really hot guy at a bar one night (I know, already not a great start–HA!). I was out dancing with my friends and I saw him smiling at me.

As I left the dance floor, his eyes followed me. He didn’t stop smiling.

As I walked past him, he smiled even bigger, his eyes locked on mine.

I was going to wait for him to come over and talk to me, but then my friend said “hey–you only live once” and I thought, fuck it, I’ll go talk to him.

It’s Time To Stop Waiting And Start Test Driving Your Dream/Desire Right Now

Something I’ve done my entire life is test drive the things I’m interested in. When I get a soul-nudge to try something, I do it right away.

I don’t wait “until” or put it on the back-burner. I figure out a way to do it now, in some way, shape or form.

Life is in session NOW, so there’s no reason to wait.

Not all test drives work out, but you’ll never know if it’s something you want to do more of if you don’t try it.

Time Is An Illusion And Will Bend To Your Will

Parkinson’s Law says “the Work expands to fill the time available for its completion.” That means however how much time you give yourself to do something is how long it will take you to do it.

The work will expand to fill the space you give to it.

Which also fits perfectly into what I believe and am always saying–time is an illusion and it will bend to your will.

You don’t need a lot of time to do the things you need and/or want to do. You just need to make space for it to get done.

This week is a BIG week for me. Not only is it my 35th birthday (!!!) but I’m officially closing in on the date that began my decade-long journey to becoming the writer, author, screenwriter, coach, entrepreneur, etc. that I am today.

September 22, 2008. That was the date I set in January 2008 as the deadline for writing the first draft of my first novel. My 25th birthday.
